In the heart of a Moroccan market town with window views up stream, this space has both the tranquility and set up to arrive, focus and work, views to inspre and environment to stimulate a self-governing creative. The converted apartment into artist's studio with living quarters contains everything one needs, with amenities close by. The kitchen and lounge/sleeping area are comfortable and adequately fitted. There is a hot shower and a squat toilet and dining/working area. The town is both small enough to quickly get familiar with it (and visa versa!) and yet big enough and closes enough to the magical imperial city of Fez ( 45 mins away) to stimulate and inspire. Artists should be independent and open to being adaptable to the local culture. There is a small arts movement in the city currently developing. Sefrou was a chosen destination, by the host, as an appropriate place to receive foreign creatives, Its ( ancient) urban environment and hospitable community contribute to a memory-creating experince. Know that Sefruian socializing happens mostly in the daytime. A nighttime social scene is almost nonexistent in Sefrou though Fez is commutable into the late evening. The are many artisans in the region. Should visiting artists wish to connect with the artisanship or any other element of local society, a service of facilitation is available if prearranged, at a reasonable fee.
