Our residency is open to all from the creative field. We don't have a structured programme as such.Residents are free to have their own projects . About the location.Vagamon,a virgin hill scape in Idukki Dist in Kerala ,1100 mts above sea level, is one of the most scenic Greenfield hill stations in India with moderate winter, monsoon and salubrious climate round the year.This is located in the Western Ghats along the west coast of India which has been included on the coveted list of the World Heritage Sites, at a meeting of the World Heritage Committee (UNESCO). It is recognised as one of the world\'s eight "hottest hotspots" of biological diversity. The vast spread of rolling meadows, tranquil lakes,huge peaks, green forests, rivers and waterfalls and the tea gardens make vagamon a trekkers paradise. The room temperature does not usually rise above 24 degree C even during the hottest season. If you feel that this location suits you we are happy to receive you as a resident. ( This amount take care of your stay in one cottage room in an 80 acre scenic property ,the studio space, all food, toiletries, bed sheets, pillow cover, Laundry, support of a helper etc. You need not bother about any on these items.). Minimum period of residency is 15 days. We give special discounts if two or more artists book together. Brief description of organization. Palette People is a registered charitable trust having its HQ in the state of Kerala in India. The birth of Palette People in 1991, was occasioned by the sincere urge to spot young talented artists and project them on the national and international scene, besides energizing the mindset of the public towards an active appreciation of visual art .A new generation of very talented and dedicated artists have come up with the active support of Palette People. We have been conducting regular exhibitions, camps, seminars and talks for the artists and supporting them in all aspects. We started the artists residency in Vagamon in 2007 Palette People now run an art gallery in Hotel Le Meridien ,Kochi Other activities engaged by the artists. Trekking , bird watching, fishing, cycling, taking part in organic farming, butterfly watching, star watching during nights, participating in cooking sessions etc ( all on request). We encourage Yoga and Meditation for the residents.
