My husband and I are artist/teachers, a photographer and a painter. Our summer studio is a rustic farmhouse built in the 1850's in Nova Scotia. It is located about 1.5 hours drive from Halifax airport in a small rural community. It is a 5 minute walk down to a rocky shore on the Bay of Fundy and a 10 minute walk to a public beach (stones). The Bay of Fundy has the highest tides in the world. There is a restaurant and a farm stand in the village and the trailhead to a famous hiking trail to Cape Split. The town of Wolfville and Acadia University is a 30 minute drive away. The closest town for groceries is a 20 minute drive. We would like to start renting it to artists for the times of the year when we can't be there. The rent would be 600.00 US dollars per week to artists. Aug 15th would be the earliest it could start. The studio pictured is one section of the barn where my husband paints. The darkroom is in the house and is partially equipped.
