Better Than Jam

Better Than Jam was first, the creations of Karin Persan. Hand printed textiles, and original designs, made by hand. The line formed while experimenting with designs and selling at craft shows and indie markets. Better Than Jam the STORE was open February 2010. The STUDIO October 2015 in new location. Our boutique hosts fashion, home goods, and gifts, hand crafted by people we know personally having met during their time in NYC. The online store posts some pieces we feel would sell well over the internet, but we have so much more to offer when you visit our actual brick & mortar. Do not hesitate to contact us if you saw something in our shop and don't see it online. We want to help you get that one of kind special piece. The studio space is communal and available for the public to use hourly or daily by appointment. Use our big beautiful space to finish that project you can't get through in your cramped living or studio space. A full calendar of workshops and classes are scheduled, that focus on textile and craft arts. We welcome others to teach their skills as well, so email if you need a spot to host your wonderful class idea. Some services available include silkscreening textiles and tshirts, sewing small projects, and dyeing fabrics.
