PADA is an artist-led, non-profit arts organisation based in Barreiro in Lisbon’s South Bay. Set in an industrial park with history dating back to 1885, PADA offer artists time and space to develop their practice through the exploration of technique and process. Bringing together like minded artists with the aim of developing a creative hub for the exchange of knowledge and skills in the fabrication and execution of art. Artists will be surrounded by history as well as contemporary craftspeople providing inspiration, material knowledge and the resources for experimentation and production. PADA’s facilities reinforce this with large studios and technical support to encourage and facilitate ambitious work.
Residencies are welcome form 2 weeks to 3 months.
Residency fee includes a 50m2 studio space and all communal facilities at PADA as well as nearby accommodation within the old workers quarter in the industrial park.
