Where is located? Songzhuang, considered as "the Artist community of Beijing" by the amount of artists as well as the network of galleries and art supply shops that make it one of the most lively and international artplaces in China. A privileged enclave to find tranquility in otherwise crowdy Beijing and nowadays close to the subway by a 20 minutes bus drive or direct bus to the city center in 50 minutes The studio is located in a calm alley close to the center of the village and close to restaurants, bars, shops and busstops. It has a private entry gate (first photos), a garden with trees, a house part with sitting room, first bathroom, kitchen, and on the second floor one big bedroom, two small bedrooms and a second bathroom. Everything is fully furnished and equipped (fridge,oven,washing machine .....bedlinen, towels etcetera). The studio is 180m2 and has a mezzanine. It is suited for 2/3 artists and they can work in any medium they desire, from painting, collage, video, digital art or sculpture to the transformation of their study in an installation or operation of the area. The space is often visited by passersby and contact with the other artists easy and stimulating. Organizing an exhibition in the studio or elsewhere can be possible. Occasional Assistants can be arranged at a reasonable price and the neighbor is a Chinese gallery owner who speaks good English and is helpful in everything .
